Dr. Romaldo Isaac Lewis (DBA)
Dr. Lewis holds a Dual Doctorate in Business Administration (DDBA) from Universidad Francisco Marroquin from Guatemala City and Swiss Management Center from Zurich, Switzerland, Dr. Lewis also possesses a second Master of Science (MSc) in Project Management from Instituto Centroamericano de Administración Publica(ICAP), San Jose, Costa Rica.
Additionally, Dr. Lewis first Master Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Universidad Mariano Galvez and also obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture Engineering, with a specialization in Agriculture Production from the University of San Carlos in Guatemala. As a consultant, his work has focused on Rural and Business Development as well as Agribusiness production and planning. As a professional, Dr. Lewis was employed as the Assistant General Manager at the Papaya Industry (Fruta Bomba Ltd, Brooks Tropical USA), in Northern Belize, where his work focused on the Planning, coordination, execution, supervision, and evaluation of programs such as Planting, Fertilization, Weed Control, Pest Control and Harvesting in Papaya plantation.
Dr. Lewis also worked as the Coordinator of Technical Services in Chiquita Brands International posted in Central America and South America for eight years. His work emphasized the planning, coordination, execution, supervision, and evaluation of programs such as Fertilization, Weed Control, Pest Control, Nematode Control, and Scientific Research in Banana plantations. As a technical person, Dr. Lewis was a Lecturer and Chair of the Agriculture Department at San Carlos University in the Northern region of Guatemala for six years. Dr. Lewis is the Lead Consultant of “AGRICONES” in order to coordinate the development of efficient and reliable services for the satisfaction of our clients.
Dr. Geraldo Flowers
Dr. Geraldo Flowers is a Strategist and Policy Analyst. He holds a PhD and a Masters in Public Administration with significant work in Strategy Formulation and Implementation. As part of his work, he has conducted Public Policy Analysis and Evaluation, Strategic Management as well as Performance Base Program Budgeting in Belize and abroad. At the present moment Dr. Flowers is the National Consultant for the development of a National Information and Communication Technology Strategy for the country of Belize, Ministry of Public Service of Belize) 02/11 to present.
Dr. Flowers was also the National Consultant for the Development of the Belize National Plan of Action for the implementation of the Inter-American Convention against Corruption in Government 08/10 to 01/11. Dr. Flowers also taught Public Policy and Strategic Management at Florida Golf Coast University (USA) and the University of Belize (UB). He has professional development training and certificate in Project Appraisal and Risk Management from Duke University on June 14th 2002. With a series of consultancy experience in Policy and Strategy Design, Dr. Flowers is ready to serve our clients.
Dr. Philip Castillo
Dr. Philip Castillo is a development economist and social researcher. He holds both an M.Sc. and a Ph.D. in Development Studies from the Sir Arthur Lewis Institute of Social & Economic Studies of the University of the West Indies, in Mona, Jamaica. He is an Assistant Professor and Immediate Past Chair of the Faculty of Management & Social Sciences of the University of Belize at its Central Campus in Belmopan.
His most recent publication was his doctoral thesis entitled, “In the Footsteps of the Orange: A Value Chain for Belize’s Orange Concentrate Exports,” which focuses on sustainable increasing earnings from the country’s citrus exports and social and economic issues that arise from the local distribution of citrus earnings. At the University of Belize, Dr. Castillo lectures courses in Research Methodology, Socio-Economic Development, Managerial Economics, and Public Policy.
MSc. Manolo Enrique Magaña
Mr. Magaña has a Master’s Degree in Natural Resources and the Environment from the National Polytechnic Institute in Mexico. He has conducted several research works involving water quality and in evaluation, conservation, and sustainable use of natural resources within the national legal framework. He has conducted several research studies, particularly on marine, freshwater, and estuary pollution and water resource management. These studies encompass a broad range of skills and knowledge including sample collection, analysis, and interpretation of water quality, nutrients, heavy metals, and isotopes. Mr. Magaña has also been part of a consultancy team that has done several projects pertaining to environmental and natural resources management. My contribution to the team has been mainly related to environmental studies, and the development of chemical inventories, environmental management plans, and Environmental Impact Assessments focusing on water resources and solid waste management.
MBA. Deserie Ann Avila
On the surface, Deserie Avila is an accomplished Accounting and Finance professional with 19 years’ experience in teaching Accounting and Finance, 10 years being at the university level. She’s so efficient at her job that she considers herself an “accounting whisperer” Deserie has the ability to provide sound financial advice to start and keep your business operating efficiently and effectively. Because of her skills, Deserie can produce productive and long-lasting results for clients.
Her opinions are highly valued, people trust and respect her judgments. Deserie earned a Master’s degree in Business Administration degree with a major in finance in 2009, with honours and is currently a DBA student, Abd. Her long-term goal is to become an international accounting consultant. After completing her DBA, she will start working towards this cause. Deserie has done several consultancies in Accounting, including workshops, writing articles and delivering courses for businesses’ employees.
